Border Patrol agents are being instructed, in the form of a mandatory Department of Homeland Security computer tutorial and accompanying pamphlet also to – run away! As part of an “Active Shooter” course, Border Patrol agents are instructed to run away and hide should they encounter a shooter in a public place.

This is actually a broad sweeping Federal policy. I’m a full time army national guardsman and we were given the same computer class. To top it off they brought in air force security forces who told us they would shoot us if any soldier was seen on federal property with a weapon. The room full of army troops burst into laughter.

Your comment does not leave me with a lot of warm fuzzies. Shouldn’t it kind of be the point that law enforcement/national guard/military (that would be the good guys) – a) be armed and, b) be willing to use them against the bad guys?
