In general, at What Would The Founders Think? we try to limit our posts to original commentary, rather than to re-purpose content as an aggregator. However, occasionally something comes up that deserves attention on it’s own. The video below falls into that category. Zo’s views on the Constitution’s 3/5’s compromise seem to correspond with our recent reading on the Constitutional Convention.

One of the best, if convoluted, explanations of why Blacks are loyal to Democrats. Convoluted because, well, what has happened to the Black community is almost akin to a counterspy that plays both sides against each other. I hope this gets wide play. Buy the book.

My gosh! What an effective recounting of recent Ameican history—and true, too, albeit fudged a little here and there. I especially like the part where Bill Clinton says that being a member of the Ku Klux Klan is what a good person does just before he decides to run for office. I appreciate, also, the exposition on Woodrow Wilson’s bigotry.
