Unreported Truths about COVID-19 and Lockdowns by Alex Berenson
With this unglamorous and unexciting title, Alex Berenson, a former NYT reporter, takes us on a journey through the labyrinth of changing policies, inaccurate statistics, and what he calls the Apocalypse Media. Their politicized narrative about COVID-19 begun when the virus story was still in its infancy. Read the rest of this entry »

John Roberts: Words mean what he says they mean
Just the other day I stopped off at an International House of Pancakes for breakfast. I don’t usually eat breakfast out. Most often, my breakfast consists of some type of cereal marketed to kids that Michelle Obama demands I not eat, yet on this occasion I had the opportunity to eat a hearty breakfast that someone else cooked. So, I took advantage and looked forward to a big meal.
The delightful hostess walked me to a table where soon an equally delightful waitress greeted me. Read the rest of this entry »

Random Thoughts for the Day
Pope Francis was just named Time’s Person of the Year. Others under consideration for the nod included Barack Obama, Kathleen Sebelius, Edward Snowden, Miley Cyrus and five others. Surprisingly, many were shocked that the Pope beat out Miley Cyrus. Apparently, licking everything in North America was enough for Time’s editors to include her in the Top Ten, but not quite enough for Number One. Further, feeling snubbed, Barack Obama was seen writing this note to himself, “2014 – More twerking.†Read the rest of this entry »

So, He Lied …
So what if Obama lied? That’s what moral relativists do. What’s a lie to people who believe truth is an artificial cultural construct. In any case, truth is irrelevant in the larger scheme of things. Machiavelli wrote, “the end justifies the means,†and the end relentlessly pursued by this president is the preservation and extension of government power and control. Read the rest of this entry »

Whatever…
Last week Health and Human Services secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, testified before Congress concerning the botched rollout of the Obamacare website. In keeping with the tradition of the most transparent administration in history, Ms. Sebelius was less than forthcoming. (Honest! Barack Obama told us so and he wouldn’t lie…wait, never mind.) As a public service, we will provide some of her answers to congressional questioning and then explain what she really meant. Read the rest of this entry »

If You Like Your Current Health Plan – Get Over It
Many in this country are wondering these days if there isn’t a way to have a do-over of the 2012 election. Some might even be thinking the 2008 election ought to be re-done too. What brought this on, you ask? Well, quite possibly the results of the 2008 and 2012 elections. Elections, as Democrats are fond of telling anyone who’ll listen (and even those who aren’t listening), have consequences. And these two elections have left us with some doozies. Don Obama
Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius refuses to testify before a planned hearing of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. She claims she has scheduling conflicts. She's just too busy. According to the WSJ, Henry Chao, the technology guru for the Affordable Health Care Act is also invisible’ ditto other officials who might be asked to explain the insurance exchange foul up. Delayed Obamacare Enrollment Syndrome
October 1, 2013 could be considered the new “Black Tuesday.†That was the day the government rolled out the Health Insurance Marketplace website. This, of course, is the website for the insurance exchanges required as part of the Obamacare law. Although the Obama administration has tried its best to put on a smiley face, there is no denying this so far has been, much like the Obama foreign policy, the Obama domestic policy, the Obama economic policy, etc., an unmitigated disaster. The Emperor has no Clothes…but will his subjects notice?
The appellation “Obama Administration†is outdated. Obama Regime is more accurate. Regimes unlike constitutional governments, rule by imposition and by fiat: If the emperor/king doesn’t like a law, he refuses to enforce it. If there is no law to do his bidding, he conjures up a regulation to do what he wants done. The wishes and prerogatives of the regime take precedence over the wants and needs of those it perceives as its subjects. Read the rest of this entry »

Thank You Mr. Obama
The government shutdown may have just cost me $300.
If I thought we could get rid of Obama's signature piece of legislation, I, and a lot of other people would happily pay ten times that amount. Read the rest of this entry »
