On A Sour Note

Never mind that the FTC lacks authority over non-profits. The small-time tyrants at FTC don’t need to understand progressive ideology to follow their leader. They just do what comes naturally. Random Thoughts for the Day

Pope Francis was just named Time’s Person of the Year. Others under consideration for the nod included Barack Obama, Kathleen Sebelius, Edward Snowden, Miley Cyrus and five others. But instead of being treated to a wildlife spectacle they were left with a horror show when it flew into a wind turbine and was killed.   Read the rest of this entry »

Modern Man Has Become a Moral Idiot – Notes From Ideas Have Consequences

Ideas Have Consequences is such dense book, that it would be impossible to review it in the normal mode. Indeed even treating each chapter as an entity unto itself may not be sufficient. And so, consider this a multi-part review.   Read the rest of this entry »

The Problem With Big Numbers … Marginalizing Horror …

Big numbers are difficult to grasp. Everyone understands numbers they can relate to, 10 people, 100 people, even a thousand or 10,00 people is something that the mind can envision and understand. But once you start talking about millions the mind flicks a switch and begins to depersonalize.   Read the rest of this entry »
